KBB Turbochargers

KBB manufactures exhaust-gas turbochargers with axial-flow and radial-flow turbines for medium-speed and high-speed diesel engines, heavy fuel engines and gas engines as used on ships, in engine-generator sets, and in locomotive construction. Turbocharger production at KBB is carried out with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment. The high manufacturing quality of our components is ensured by the use of CNC technologies. Examples of the modern machines we deploy are five-axis milling machines, cutting-edge lathes and machining centres. Overspeed tests are carried out separately for turbines and compressors in an overspeed test tunnel. In order to guarantee the precision of the component parts produced, 3-D co-ordinate measuring systems are employed.
